Welcome to our holiday flat! We are delighted that you are staying with us.
We have furnished the flats with a lot of love, care and dedication to ensure you have a pleasant and cosy stay. We therefore ask you to treat the flat as you would treat your own home - with respect and care.
Important information for your stay in Zermatt
Here you will find all the important information you need to make your stay in Zermatt even more enjoyable. If you have any further questions or need support, we will be happy to help you at any time.
Waste
We ask all guests to separate waste in accordance with the applicable regulations. The appropriate bins for separating waste are available in the store room. Thank you for your help!
The nearest collection point is just a few metres after the Gornergrat Bahn subway.

Departure and luggage storage
On the day of departure we ask you to vacate the flat by 10 am at the latest. Please leave the flat in a tidy condition and dispose of the rubbish properly - that would be a great help to us!
If you would still like to use the day, you are welcome to store your luggage with us.
Pharmacy
There is an emergency pharmacy in the storeroom / reduit. If you need anything else, we will be happy to help you if possible.
Books
There are a few books about Zermatt at the entrance. You are welcome to use these as vacation reading material. If you would like to purchase the books, you will find them in the ZAP.
Fondue / Raclette
Fancy a tasty fondue or raclette? Contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a fondue set and/or raclette oven.
Recommendation: Right next to the Rofel is the Horu Käserei with fine Zermatt raclette cheese and fondue mix.

Breakfast buffet
Fancy a first-class breakfast buffet? Then we recommend breakfast at the Hotel Bella Vista with local, seasonal and home-made delicacies.
CHF 20.- (children CHF 10.-), instead of CHF 25.-
Winter: 7.30 - 10.30 a.m. / Summer: 7.00 - 10.00 a.m.

Pets
Pets are very welcome in our flat ‘Theodor’! However, we ask that your pets do not linger on furniture, sofas or beds. In the event of damage caused by the pet, we reserve the right to charge a deposit to cover any repairs or cleaning.

Coffee
Fair trade and sustainability are very important to us. For this reason, we source our coffee from Tropical Mountains. The coffee is included in the price.
The compostable Tropical Mountains capsules are based on starch and plant cellulose as well as lignin, a by-product of the paper industry. The bins (containers) are made of bamboo and starch-based material and are also compostable - after removing the wrapping paper for the waste paper.
The green coffee for the coffee capsules comes directly from the family farm or Tropical Mountains' organic and fair trade-certified partners. The family is constantly growing - the values remain the same: Organic cultivation, direct fair trade and sustainable packaging.
Humidifier
If required, we will be happy to provide you with a humidifier.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

SECRET TIP!
Every Tuesday evening the Hotel Bella Vista hosts the popular Zermatt cheese evening with fine raclette from Zermatt and various cheese fondues.
Reservations must be made by noon on Tuesday at the latest at hotel@bellavista-zermatt.ch or +41 27 966 28 10
Quiet hours
The general quiet hours are as follows:
- 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Please avoid loud noises such as listening to loud music, vacuuming or loud conversations during these times in order to respect the rest of the other residents.
Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
Keys
We provide you with two keys for the apartment. You will find one in the safe at check-in and the other in the apartment.
If you lose a key, we will charge CHF 100 for its replacement.
Ski rental
We recommend that you hire your skis from Julen Sport. You will receive a 10% discount and the skis and ski boots will be delivered on arrival after fitting and collected from the ski room on departure.
Electricity and water consumption
There is no Planet B!
- Please make sure you use electricity and water responsibly.
- Switch off appliances and lighting when you leave the apartment.
Cab
You can easily book your cab online at Taxigo.
A new cab tariff will apply in Zermatt from November 1, 2024. After 19 years without change, the existing tariff regulations have been replaced by a modern and clear solution at the request of the cab companies.
The most important changes:
- A basic tariff, depending on the time of day
- A price per meter driven
- From a distance of 2,500 m, the meter fare is doubled
- No more charging per person and fare zone
- No additional costs for luggage and night tariff
New tariff regulations (Maximum prices valid from November 1, 2024):
Early tariff, 07.00 - 08.00, basic tariff CHF 18, price per meter CHF 0.010
Day tariff, 08.00 - 18.00, basic tariff CHF 15, price per meter CHF 0.008
Evening rate, 18.00 - 20.00, basic rate CHF 18, price per meter CHF 0.010
Night tariff, 20.00 - 07.00, basic tariff CHF 22, price per meter CHF 0.015

Responsibility for damage
Any damage that occurs during your stay must be reported immediately and replaced if necessary.

There are two laundry services in Zermatt:

Just 50 meters away you will find the spacious and beautiful Alpine SPA Bella Vita. As guests of Haus Rofel, you benefit from special conditions at Hotel Bella Vista. The “adults only” Alpine SPA Bella Vita offers four different saunas, a relaxation room with a view of the Matterhorn and a relaxing Arvenstube.
