What does ‘Rofel’ actually mean?
If the wind blows into the material from the Roffelhörner, you can expect a lot of fresh snow. In the Visp valleys and in the Simplon region, the Rofel is notorious for its large amounts of fresh snow. The high-altitude wind is blowing from the south-east and the snow clouds are travelling from Italy to southern Valais.
Important information
- Zermatt is car-free. You may only drive as far as Täsch by car and must take the train from Täsch to Zermatt.
- There are 4 beds and space for an extra bed (in the living room) in the apartment. On request, 5 people can sleep in the flats. Please contact us for this.
- Pets are only allowed in the Apartment "Theodor".
